About Celebrating Aaron
Aaron Jones, 28, was a bartender at popular downtown bar The Other Bar. He had a smile for every person who walked in the door, a drink in hand for any repeat customer, and a genuine interest in every person who sat in front of him. He was beloved by the Orlando comedians who frequent the Monday night open mic at The Other Bar, cherished by his coworkers, and adored by his family and friends.
And on December 7, he was taken from the world a the hands of a reckless hit and run driver as he traveled home down Goldenrod Road on his scooter at 1:30 in the morning. Who could be so callous as to continue on their way, not even checking to see if Aaron was alive, not even calling 911? We don't know, because the person behind his heinous tragedy has not yet been caught.
The Orlando Improv is committed to helping bring this criminal to justice, and on Sunday, January 13th, will be presenting the Aaron Jones Benefit Comedy Show. Starting at 8 PM, this show will feature some of the best local comedians who have graciously offered their time to entertain you in a hilarious comedy show while raising money to offer as a reward for information leading to the capture of this criminal.
Through a combination of ticket sales (priced at $10), raffle tickets for some amazing giveaways, and donations, the Orlando community of comedians hopes to raise enough money to find the person who ended the life of the affable, the gregarious, the sorely missed Aaron Jones. Come join us for a night of laughs as we remember a soul taken from the world far too soon!
